BACKGROUND
GCash is one of the Philippines' leading fintech companies / mobile wallet services. They offer a wide range of accessible features such as their newest loan and credit products that aim to empower Filipinos to reach their goals. For their PR launch, they gave away tote bags for all attendees as a souvenir.
THE CHALLENGE
How can you illustrate the newest offerings of GCash in a fun, vibrant Filipino look?
A memorable slogan
The design starts with a simple uplifting message to communicate the new features of GCash. It's a fun hand-lettered script lettering so it looks approachable and personal because borrowing money should never be intimidating.
Familiar and relatable
These are the initial sketches or drafts. Illustrations were drawn around the hero lettering pieces to set the story in a familiar Filipino backdrop.
Three simple beats
The final design incorporates three beats: (1) walking confidently, accessibility, and relaxed at home — all because of GCash. These scenes were also embedded with type stickers that communicate the benefits of borrowing with GCash.
