A Toblerone Christmas
BACKGROUND
Popular Swiss chocolate bar brand, Toblerone, commissioned Filipino creatives to design special edition packaging sleeves for their local Christmas campaign. I was one of the artists tapped to create festive sleeve designs for the season of giving.
THE CHALLENGE
How can you show familiar and standout Christmas elements without disconnecting from the brand’s creative principles?
Made up of triangles
The chosen Christmas elements were designed and rendered using angular forms and facets. Almost all details are made up of only triangles to reinforce Toblerone’s famous shape.
Distinct Christmas imagery
From the ornaments to Rudolph, every element chosen was designed to be simple and undeniably Christmas—highlighting only the recognizable silhouettes and details to make the bars stand out.
A sweet and merry dinner
To showcase the designs, I collaborated with Sunny East Side Studio to come up with a Christmas spread where the Toblerone bars are served—ready to make Christmas sweeter and merrier!
